“You can find the right answer in sound knowledge, but it takes a creative strategy to find the solution.”
Marita has many years of experience as an employment lawyer, focusing on flexible employment relationships in particular. She advises and litigates on all aspects of flexible employment, from temporary employment, secondment and payrolling, to on-call workers and working with self-employed persons. Marita is furthermore regularly involved in collective labour agreement negotiations and negotiations on social plans, and is an expert in areas such as reorganisations, amendments to employment conditions, non-compete and other clauses, and employer liability.
Sound knowledge of the law is where it all starts for Marita. She makes a difference by working with her clients to find practical solutions, also from perspectives that may not be obvious.
Marita is a regular contributor to the case law journal JAR, writing about rulings on temporary employment, secondment and payrolling. She is also editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine ArbeidsRecht, regularly publishes in books and magazines, and is a renowned lecturer and speaker in the field of flexible employment relationships.
Marita began her legal career in 2001 at a law firm specialising in personal injury and employment law. She worked as a lecturer/researcher at the University of Amsterdam and VU University Amsterdam from 2005 to 2011, before returning to the legal profession in 2011. Marita completed the Grotius specialisation course in Employment Law cum laude in 2019.
