Joost Knaap advises and litigates in the field of broad ‘classical’ employment law (individual dismissal cases, reorganisations, advice on reintegration and absenteeism, collective labour agreement law, and employee participation), as well as advising on flexible employment relationships.
In addition to employment law, Joost has also completed a degree in psychology. This combination ensures that Joost not only has thorough legal knowledge, but above all never loses sight of the human aspect of a case. Joost is 100% dedicated to his clients and is characterised by his pragmatic, goal-oriented approach to cases.
Joost is a member of the Association of Young Labor Lawyers and is an author with the publishing and study center Kerckebosch. For this publisher he writes about labor law in a broad sense and working conditions law in particular. He published among others the Pocketbook Arbowet (Kerckebosch: 2018).
“Several factors play an important role in flexible employment relationships. As an intermediary, you want to create an optimal position in the market within the complex playing field of laws and regulations, but the implementation is hampered by those very regulations. I try to find the sweet spot for the employer. This goes beyond simply explaining laws and regulations. I like to contribute ideas at management level in order to achieve an optimal and truly applicable result.”
