Expertise
Boukje Meijer is part of the Corporate Law practice group. Within this team, she is involved, among other things, in supporting corporate disputes. She aims to further develop her expertise in this area in the coming years.
Boukje obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law and her Master’s degree in Private Law Practice from the University of Amsterdam. For her Master’s thesis, she conducted research into the termination of franchise agreements. This topic interested her due to the complexity of franchise agreements and the unique relationship that arises when two professional parties collaborate over an extended period.
During her studies, she completed an internship at a mid-sized law firm. This experience sparked her interest in dispute resolution and gave her insight into how legal theory is applied in practice. In addition, she was involved as a student in the launch of a hospitality business, allowing her to experience first-hand what is involved in setting up a new venture.
“What fascinates me about corporate law is the people behind the businesses. Finding a solution, to me, is not only about serving commercial interests, but also about genuinely helping others.”
