Carlotte specialises in corporate law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts. She joined Köster in July 2026, having previously gained extensive experience at a specialist law firm in Amsterdam. Alongside transactional work, she advised on international and domestic financing arrangements and security interests.
Carlotte advises and guides international listed companies, Dutch SMEs and start-ups through every stage of a merger or acquisition. She also advises on corporate governance, business structures, loan agreements, security interests and other commercial contracts. She explains complex legal issues clearly, without unnecessary jargon.
Carlotte wants to understand what drives a business. For her, the legal question is only part of the picture: the product, the market and the commercial dynamics matter too. This understanding helps her draft transaction documents and contracts that reflect her clients’ ambitions. Every client and every business is different. That variety appeals to her and keeps her on her toes. She values personal, direct contact with her clients.

Alongside her work as a lawyer, Carlotte serves on the board of a foundation. This experience has strengthened her understanding of governance, decision-making and the importance of an organisation’s long-term continuity.
Carlotte completed the Grotius specialist programme in Corporate Law in 2024. She obtained her master’s degree in Corporate Law from Leiden University in 2019 and also studied at the University of Victoria in Canada during her law degree.
