Suzanne specialises in corporate law, working in both the Corporate Litigation and Corporate M&A teams. Before joining Köster, Suzanne worked for a total of two years at NautaDutilh in the Corporate M&A, Business Development and Board Advice departments. It was here, among other places, that Suzanne developed her passion for corporate law.
Suzanne finds that her two different areas of expertise, Corporate Litigation and Corporate M&A, complement each other well.
“Proceedings often arise about the interpretation of an exit clause in a shareholders’ agreement. My M&A work has given me a good understanding of what such a provision entails and where potential litigation opportunities can be found. On the other hand, my experience in Corporate Litigation has taught me which parts of a shareholders’ agreement often lead to litigation and how that risk can be limited by making clear agreements.”
The variety between resolving conflicts between shareholders on the one hand and advising entrepreneurs on starting up, growing or selling their businesses on the other makes her work interesting and challenging.
Suzanne joined Köster in 2021 after obtaining her master’s degree in Corporate Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the same year. Suzanne is a member of the Corporate Litigation Association and the Young M&A Community.
