Corporate law Dispute resolution Mediation

“Corporate law deals with business disputes, while companies are always managed and represented by people. I’m fascinated by the conflicting demands of the business and the emotional aspects.”

Dirk Lange is a specialist in corporate law, focussing on shareholder disputes. He has always had a keen interest in companies and business operations. In the five years before he joined Köster, Dirk worked for a niche firm that mainly deals with corporate law. There, he gained extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate litigation and commercial litigation.

He has also litigated extensively before the Enterprise Chamber. The Enterprise Chamber not only assesses disputes between two parties, but also takes into account the interests of the company and other parties involved in the dispute. Dirk finds this complexity challenging and intellectually very interesting:

“You operate in an entirely different spectrum: strategy is decisive. My experience has given me a keen understanding of the process, which I can use to the maximum benefit of my client.”

Dirk Lange has worked at Köster since early 2017. During his Private Law studies, he worked for various financial institutions. After graduating in 2009, he started working as a lawyer and trustee. Until the end of 2016, he was affiliated with the law firm of De Breij Evers Boon. Dirk is a member of the Corporate Litigation Association and the Dutch Association for Procedural Law. He completed the Grotius specialisation course in Company and Corporate Law in 2014.
